Fixing your OS boot problem. Recently, my MacBook was only booting into my Bootcamp Windows OS. Even while restarting and holding down OPTION the disk selection wouldn’t pop up. In the appeared Boot Camp Assistant window click on Continue. After detecting Boot Camp partition the application will offer you to remove it from your computer, choose Restore to remove Boot Camp or Go Back to cancel the operation and return to the previous menu. To confirm the operation you will be asked to enter your Mac password, then Boot. Boot camp is an assistant and multi-boot software which included Apple. Boot camp is a big assist for installing Windows operating system on Mac computers. The utility guides the users with disk partitioning, including resizing of an existing HFS format and great support for Hard Drive and Solid State Drive. Launch BootCamp assistant by going to the Applications-Utilities-BootCamp Assistant. After that, click Continue on the initial BootCamp windows. Then, click create or remove a Windows partition and click continue. Click the Restore button to remove the partition. Then, enter your password and click ok. The BootCamp Assistant will start. In 2007 when i bought my mac i had bootcamp beta 1.4, using which i partitioned the disk to have windows. Recently i had to format my mac. Unfortunately i did not keep boot camp beta 1.4 back up. Therefore now am unable to remove windows back up. I have tried disk utility. IT does not allow me to format the disk as it is in grey.
I'd like to delete my Boot Camp Windows 10 partition.
I've just upgraded to the High Sierra (10.13) Beta (17A291m), meaning now I also have the APFS.
However, when I open the Boot Camp application and only select 'Install or remove Windows 7 or later', I am only shown this screen;
As you can see, the bottom option is not available.
(If I select 'Macintosh HD, VM' it says 'This disk is your macOS startup disk and appears to have been partitioned by another utility.')
However, I can also not remove it via Disk Utility, which shows this;
Thus I can also not delete the partition.
How can I remove my Windows 10 partition?
Any advise would be immensely appreciated!
